Photospec is a mobile app that helps photographers, artists, and other creators easily create alternative images for social media. It allows you to add professional borders, EXIF data overlays, and camera details to your photos as well as create seamless carousels and cinematic videos. All content is processed on your device, so your photos are never uploaded or shared with any server. Each action comes with a range of templates and styles to choose from, so you can create content that matches your personal style and branding.

Photospec is free to download and use. There is a Pro subscription that unlocks additional templates, features, and removes the Photospec watermark from your exports. You can remove the watermark with a one-time purchase if you don't want another subscription.

Photospec reads the EXIF metadata embedded in your photo files. This includes camera body, lens, focal length, aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. This is all extracted automatically without any manual entry.

No. All image processing happens entirely on your device. Your photos are never uploaded, stored, or shared with any server.

Photospec supports a range of aspect ratios including 1:1 (Instagram), 4:5 (Instagram portrait), 9:16 (Stories and Reels), 16:9 (landscape), and more. You can re-crop your images to keep your subjects centred regardless of the format you choose.

Photospec is designed to be as simple as possible and quick to use. Customisation is intentionally limited for this reason, however you can still customise the text in the templates, tweak the colors of borders, and include your name in some of the templates. We may add more customisation options in the future as people request it.
